Jausenstation Guter Hirte

The “Guter Hirte” is located right at the exit of the Bärenschützklamm and is the perfect stopover for all visitors, whether starting from Mixnitz or the Teichalm. It’s also worth taking a detour to the “Guter Hirte” when hiking to Schüsserlbrunn.

Here, hungry hikers can take a well-deserved break. The snack station offers hearty refreshments with many regional products as well as smaller warm dishes like goulash or sausages. Pair it with a cold drink, and you’re ready to continue your hike energized.

The “Guter Hirte” is ideal for anyone visiting the Bärenschützklamm. The hut is situated directly at the gorge exit, just before the return route via the “Prügelweg” trail back to Mixnitz begins. Hikers traveling from the Teichalm or Breitenau to Schüsserlbrunn can also stop here.

The hut is only accessible on foot and does not offer overnight accommodations.
