Located in the green heart of Austria, Naturwelten Steiermark in Pernegg offers exciting nature experiences through the local environment. Whether students, hunters, families, or nature enthusiasts – everyone can gain valuable knowledge about nature and its inhabitants here.

The 30 adventure stations, along with a research and forest workshop focused on the environment, climate, nature, and native wildlife, offer excitement and rewarding experiences for both young and old. Here you’ll learn why the robo-sheep isn’t a friend of butterflies, how foxes and badgers live, and explore the world of wild animals—from rocky regions and alpine pastures to forests and meadows. Recognizing animal sounds and peeking into a hunter’s backpack are also part of the hands-on nature experience in Mixnitz.

Visitors discover new "Nature Worlds" while learning how they can contribute to preserving our natural environment. Curious nature lovers can choose from exciting programs on the website and book their guided tour in advance. Each visit requires prior booking, as all tours are led by specially trained forest and hunting guides. There are also fixed tour dates, workshops, seminars, and special events for children and families.

The area also includes the “Stoabock” café-bistro and the Alpine Club’s indoor climbing hall. In addition, several seminar rooms and a large event hall are available on site. Naturwelten is easily accessible by train, with the station located directly across the street.
