Teichalm

This idyllic moor lake lies at an altitude of 1,200 meters and is ideal for a walk around the lake or as a starting point for hikes on the Teichalm. Next to the lake are the entrance to the moor nature trail, the Latschenhütte hut, the Teichwirt hotel, the Reisinger alpine shop, the Teichalm ski lifts, and the cross-country skiing trail.

A walk along the approximately 1-kilometer-long, barrier-free gravel path around the lake is just as delightful as a quick foot dip in the water or a ride on the pedal boat.

In summer, Teichalm Lake offers a variety of activities: pedal boating, walking, fishing in the Teichalm Lake or Mixnitzbach, relaxing on the shore, enjoying regional cuisine, or serving as a starting point for hikes. The lake covers about 5 hectares and reaches a depth of 5 meters at its deepest point.

In winter, the Teichalmlifte ski lifts, the Reisinger ski school, and winter sports equipment rentals are located directly by the lake. The Teichalm Lake also serves as the starting point for the 16 km long cross-country ski trails (Hochmoor Trail, Sommeralm Trail, Bärenschütz Trail), groomed for both classic and skating styles. Winter and snowshoe hikes, as well as horse-drawn sleigh rides, complete the offerings.

Parking spaces and an electric vehicle charging station are also available at Teichalm Lake.

Dogs are welcome at Teichalm Lake but must be kept on a leash. They are allowed to swim in the lake, although the water can sometimes be a bit murky due to the moor. The moor nature trail can also be explored with leashed dogs, but leaving the wooden plank path is not permitted.

Teichalm Lake is a popular starting point for numerous hikes, including:

– Rote Wand hike
– Hochlantsch Loop
– Moor Nature Trail
– Gerlerkogel
– Schüsserlbrunn
– Heulantsch Loop
– Almenland Hike
– Osser Circular Trail
– A variant for the Bärenschützklamm

And many more!
